Voice-first help that stays close to the system
Bixby is built to work deeply with your device, so it can take on tasks you would normally do yourself on a phone or tablet. In practice, Bixby Voice focuses on turning spoken requests into actions, such as opening apps, sending text messages, and creating reminders. It also supports quick, informational questions, like asking about the weather or what movies are playing nearby.
Ways to start: wake word, button press, or app access
Bixby Voice gives you more than one way to begin an interaction. You can speak hands-free using the “Hi Bixby” wake phrase, or you can press and hold the Bixby button or Side button on supported devices. Some devices also provide a Bixby app icon, which gives you another option for starting a request without relying on the wake phrase.
Everyday actions: messages, notes, and settings changes
When you want to get small tasks done faster, Bixby Voice covers a mix of communication and device control. It can help with sending texts and handling reminders, and it is positioned as a way to manage settings through voice, such as changing options you might otherwise hunt for in Settings.
