Features of Apple TV:

Apple Originals on your TV: Apple TV focuses on Apple Originals that play without ads. You can find series such as The Morning Show, Ted Lasso, Severance, Slow Horses, Hijack, and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, plus Apple Original Films. New titles arrive regularly, so there is often something recent to start.

Live sports with dedicated hubs: You can watch exclusive events, including MLS Season Pass with every match and no blackouts, and Friday Night Baseball with two MLB games during the season. US based customers also see Formula 1 Grand Prix coverage when available. MLS Season Pass is a separate subscription, and availability varies by region and device.

Personalized picks, Continue Watching, and Watchlist: The Home screen surfaces recommendations based on what you already enjoy. You can add upcoming or current titles to Watchlist for later. When you pause a video, Continue Watching helps you pick up where you left off across signed in devices.

Buy or rent movies and access your library: Apple TV lets you buy or rent thousands of movies directly in the app when offered in your region. If you have previously purchased iTunes movies, you can view those eligible titles in your library and play them on your TV. This keeps your collection and new rentals in one place for easy access.

Highlights of Apple TV:

Watch MLS online with Apple TV: Although Apple TV's catalog is primarily focused on movies and series, this U.S. platform also allows you to watch soccer online with your subscription. Simply purchase the MLS Season Pass to enjoy the best games from Major League Soccer. This way, you won't miss any of Messi's matches with Inter Miami CF or Dénis Bouanga's performances with Los Angeles FC.

Use the integrated search function: If the solid content categorization presented by Apple TV is not enough to find the production you are looking for, the app will allow you to use a simple search function to locate any title. Just enter the name of the movie or series you want to watch in the search box and the platform will show you the most relevant results in seconds.

High-Quality Streaming: Apple TV supports up to 4K HDR streaming with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos where available, ensuring a premium viewing experience on compatible devices. The app offers adaptive streaming that adjusts quality based on network speed, providing crisp visuals and steady playback. Subtitles and audio tracks in multiple languages are supported, broadening accessibility for international audiences.

User Reviews of Apple TV:

Honestly, it deserves to be more appreciated when you look at other streaming markets for quality shows which actually makes users understand and engage with the storyline rather than just play and binge watch passively. On top of that it's quite affordable but there is quite a difference between using the app on iphone and Android. It would be way better if the features like integration of shows from other platforms would be available on the Android version as well.

I was extremely hesitant to try this app, but the overwhelming desire to watch the Seattle Sounders finally made me do it. So glad I did. Not sure if the negative reviews are reflective of old app behavior, but it's working great for me, including casting to my TV. Also, subscribe on your phone and cancellation is super easy via your Play Store subscriptions (another reason I avoided it so long). Note that in addition to MLS, there are tons of shows and movies to watch on here.

Apple TV has amazing shows written and directed by the most talented people. The excellence that we have come to expect from the Apple Company shines through the shows and app. My iPad had a problem with it's finger print reader and so I was unable to renew my subscription. Enter Apple TV on Android. Payment was made on Android and immediately reflected on iOS. Good Job guys.

Apple TV delivers an absolutely flawless, premium home theater experience. The interface is completely clean, gorgeous, and free of clutter. Paired with stunning 4K Dolby Vision, seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem, and high-quality originals, it is easily the best streaming hub on the market.

FAQs of Apple TV:

Do Apple TV shows have ads?

No. Though you will often see a trailer for another Apple TV show before the one you intend to watch. This is similar to many other streaming services, and it’s skippable.

What shows and movies are available right now?

Subscribing to Apple TV gives you access to a library of exclusive content, rather than access to a big back-catalog of TV shows or movies, so there’s not as much available as on some other services. That said, over the years the content has increased.

What shows and movies are coming in the future?

Apple has nothing if not deep pockets and a desire to win. The company has spent a small fortune acquiring exclusive shows and movies from other production companies and has even started its own (Apple Studios) to produce its own. It’s safe to say there’s a lot on the way, but the pace of new releases pales in comparison to competitors like Netflix.

Does Apple release episodes once a week or drop entire seasons at once?

Apple’s approach varies. With brand-new shows, Apple will often release the first three episodes at once, with the rest of the season coming at a rate of one episode a week. Second seasons and later may start off at just one a week, and some limited series (especially documentary series) make all the episodes available at once.New releases to Apple TV typically happen on Friday at midnight (so you can watch the latest episode of Ted Lasso at 9pm on Thursday night, Pacific Time).

Can I download shows for offline viewing?

Yes, with a couple of caveats. Apple appears to place no limits on downloads of the same content across iPhones, iPads, and Macs owned by the same account. For example, we downloaded the same episode of Servant on all three of these devices through the TV app with no trouble. But that’s where the freedom ends. Apple doesn’t allow you to download Apple TV content on the Apple TV, nor does it allow for it on other streaming devices, smart TVs, or when watching shows on a browser.Shows you download to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac will be available for 30 days, after which your devices will automatically remove them. You can also manually delete them through the TV app.

Final words:

Apple TV helps when you want a simple way to watch Apple shows, select live sports, and popular films on a big screen. The app organizes content into clear rows and keeps your library easy to navigate. It highlights fresh releases and suggests what to watch next based on your viewing.
