AwaasApp This is a mobile application designed specifically for inspectors and beneficiaries participating in the 'Prime Minister's Rural Housing Program'. The software offers a user-friendly interface; users simply need to answer a series of questionnaires related to their eligibility for housing benefits. The application is highly efficient; once you complete the questionnaire, you'll receive a quick mobile message, improving the overall process. This application addresses the needs of rural development programs; give it a try if you're interested.
Features
In addition to assisting homeowners, the app is a valuable tool for PMAY house inspectors. It allows these professionals to efficiently inspect houses and ensure adherence to the program's standards, leveraging the same credentials they use on the AwaasSoft portal. The platform's photo verification is not just a simple upload process; the images must pass a further review by block office officials in the AwaasSoft e-governance system, which finalizes the inspection process.
Benefits of using this system include expedited financial assistance, accountability through geo-tagged photographic evidence, and a simplified verification process. Its features aim at eliminating delays and enhancing transparency in the construction and inspection phases of rural housing — making it an essential tool for stakeholders in government-aided housing projects. This streamlined approach ensures a more efficient housing delivery system that benefits both beneficiaries and inspectors
Highlights
The application allows PMAYG beneficiaries or their representatives to document the construction stages of their homes. By capturing high-quality photographs accompanied by time-stamps and geo-coordinates, users can provide evidence of progress at various points in the building process. This feature ensures that the verification and approval of financial assistance can proceed smoothly and without unnecessary delays.
In addition to facilitating beneficiary reporting, AwaasApp includes functionalities for designated house inspectors. These inspectors utilize the app to assess houses constructed under PMAYG or other rural housing schemes that are monitored via the AwaasSoft platform. The login process for inspectors mirrors their existing credentials on AwaasSoft, ensuring a seamless transition between platforms.
AwaasApp's design prioritizes user-friendliness, making it accessible for individuals who may not have extensive technical expertise. Upon downloading the app, users can quickly navigate its interface to upload images of their construction progress. The app's focus on simplicity helps ensure that users can effectively utilize its features without encountering difficulties.
The photographs taken through AwaasApp are not only important for beneficiary records but also play a critical role in the inspection process. After images are uploaded, they are verified by the Block office using AwaasSoft. This verification is essential for confirming that the reported progress aligns with the actual state of construction, thereby safeguarding the integrity of the financial assistance process.
Users of AwaasApp benefit from the ability to monitor their housing project in real-time. As construction progresses, beneficiaries can track their eligibility for further installments of financial support. This transparency fosters a sense of accountability and encourages timely completion of housing projects.
In terms of security, the app employs a One Time Password (OTP) system for beneficiary login. This ensures that only authorized users can access the application and submit progress reports. The OTP is sent to the mobile number registered on AwaasSoft at the time of house sanctioning, adding an extra layer of protection for users' information.
AwaasApp is built with the specific needs of rural housing beneficiaries in mind. By focusing on providing essential tools for documentation and communication, the app supports the broader goals of the PMAYG initiative, which aims to enhance housing accessibility in rural areas. The application stands as a valuable resource for those involved in the construction of homes under this scheme.
