These Developer Terms (“Developer Terms”) apply to developers, publishers, software companies, agencies and authorized representatives who submit, claim, manage or provide information about applications on APP2U.
These Developer Terms supplement the APP2U Terms of Service. By submitting or managing an application on APP2U, you agree to these Developer Terms.
- Developer Eligibility
You may submit or manage an application on APP2U only if you are:
The application developer;
The application publisher;
The owner of the application;
An employee or representative authorized by the developer or publisher; or
An agency or service provider authorized to act on behalf of the application owner.
APP2U may request reasonable information to verify your relationship with an application.
- Developer Account
Certain developer features may require an APP2U account.
You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and protecting your login credentials.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by circumstances for which you are not legally responsible.
You must notify APP2U if you reasonably believe your developer account has been compromised.
- App Submission
Developers may submit applications for consideration and listing on APP2U.
A submission may include:
App name
Developer or publisher name
App description
App icon
Screenshots
Category
Version information
Official website
App store page
Official download source
Contact information
Other relevant application information
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval, publication, ranking, promotion or continued availability on APP2U.
- Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for ensuring that information submitted to APP2U is accurate and not intentionally misleading.
You should update information when material changes occur.
APP2U may correct formatting, spelling, categorization or other presentation details where appropriate.
We may also request clarification or supporting information where submitted information appears incomplete, inaccurate or inconsistent.
- Ownership & Authorization
By submitting an application or related materials, you represent that you have the necessary rights, licenses or permissions to provide those materials to APP2U.
You must not submit an application that you do not own or have authority to represent.
You must not falsely claim another developer's application.
- License to Display Submitted Materials
You retain any ownership rights you have in materials submitted to APP2U.
By submitting app descriptions, icons, screenshots, videos, logos and other materials, you grant APP2U a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, resize, format, translate, display and distribute those materials as reasonably necessary to operate, market and provide the APP2U platform and related services.
This license does not transfer ownership of your application to APP2U.
- Application Requirements
Applications submitted to APP2U should:
Have a legitimate purpose.
Accurately represent their functionality.
Identify the developer or publisher appropriately.
Provide a legitimate official source where applicable.
Respect applicable intellectual property rights.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Provide appropriate privacy disclosures where required.
Avoid deceptive or harmful functionality.
APP2U may establish additional category-specific requirements.
- Prohibited Applications
APP2U does not knowingly accept fraudulent or malicious applications.
You must not submit applications involving:
Scams or fraudulent activities
Phishing
Credential theft
Malware
Spyware
Viruses or malicious code
Fake or impersonated applications
Deliberately deceptive download mechanisms
Fraudulent investment schemes
Unauthorized collection of personal or financial information
Unauthorized distribution of third-party applications
Applications designed to mislead or intentionally harm users
Applications that violate applicable laws
Attempts to conceal prohibited functionality or provide false information during review may result in rejection, removal or restriction of future submissions.
- Application Review
APP2U may review submitted applications before or after publication.
Review may include examination of:
Application information
Developer information
Official websites
Download destinations
App store listings
Submitted media
Publicly available information
Security or trust indicators
Compliance with APP2U policies
Review procedures may vary depending on the application.
APP2U does not guarantee that its review process will identify every security, legal, technical or operational issue associated with an application.
- Special Review
Certain applications may require additional verification, manual processing or enhanced review.
APP2U may determine that additional review is necessary based on factors such as application category, distribution method, available developer information, risk indicators or other relevant circumstances.
Additional review does not constitute certification or endorsement of an application.
- Approval & Rejection
APP2U reserves the right to approve or reject an application according to our platform standards.
Reasons for rejection may include:
Incomplete information
Unverifiable developer information
Misleading claims
Security concerns
Intellectual property concerns
Prohibited functionality
Policy violations
Legal concerns
Fraud or abuse indicators
APP2U may request additional information before making a decision.
- Published App Listings
Approved applications may receive an APP2U listing page.
APP2U determines the structure, design, categories and presentation of its platform.
Publication does not create a partnership, agency relationship, certification or endorsement between APP2U and the developer unless expressly agreed in writing.
- App Updates
Developers should keep important application information reasonably current.
You may be able to request updates to:
App descriptions
Screenshots
Icons
Version information
Official websites
Download destinations
Developer information
Other listing information
APP2U may review requested changes before publication.
- Download Links
Where APP2U displays an external download link, developers must ensure that the destination is legitimate and accurately represents the submitted application.
Developers must not intentionally redirect users to:
Malware
Phishing pages
Fake applications
Unrelated applications
Fraudulent websites
Deceptive payment pages
Other harmful destinations
APP2U may disable or remove links that present security, trust or policy concerns.
- Privacy & User Data
Developers are responsible for their own application's collection, processing, storage and use of personal information.
Where required by applicable law, developers should provide an appropriate privacy policy and obtain required permissions or consent.
Listing an application on APP2U does not make APP2U responsible for the application's independent privacy practices.
- Intellectual Property Complaints
Developers must respect third-party copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property rights.
If APP2U receives a credible complaint concerning an application or submitted material, we may temporarily restrict or remove relevant content while reviewing the matter.
Developers may be asked to provide evidence of ownership, licensing or authorization.
- Commercial Services
APP2U may offer optional paid services to developers and publishers.
The availability, scope and price of these services may change over time.
Additional terms may be presented before purchase.
Purchasing a commercial service does not exempt an application from APP2U's policies or guarantee editorial approval.
- Promotion & Performance
Where APP2U provides promotional or user-acquisition services, campaign objectives, target ranges, markets, duration and other relevant conditions may be defined separately for each service.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, promotional estimates or target ranges should not be interpreted as guarantees of specific business outcomes.
APP2U does not guarantee revenue, retention, rankings, ratings, reviews or other downstream performance resulting from promotional activity.
- No Fake Engagement
Developers must not use APP2U services to request or facilitate fraudulent engagement.
This includes:
Bot-generated installations
Fake users
Fake reviews
Manipulated ratings
Automated engagement intended to deceive
Fraudulent traffic
Other artificial activity presented as genuine user behavior
APP2U may restrict services where fraudulent activity is identified.
- Sponsored & Featured Placement
Certain applications may receive sponsored, promoted or featured placement through commercial arrangements.
Where appropriate, APP2U may identify such placements using labels including “Sponsored,” “Promoted,” “Featured” or similar terminology.
Commercial placement does not constitute a security certification or independent endorsement.
- Rankings & Search Visibility
APP2U does not guarantee a particular position within search results, categories, rankings, recommendations or external search engines.
APP2U may change its internal discovery and ranking systems at any time.
Search-engine indexing and rankings are controlled by independent search providers and are outside APP2U's direct control.
- Removal of Applications
APP2U may suspend, restrict or remove an application where reasonably necessary due to:
Policy violations
Security concerns
Fraud indicators
Misleading information
Intellectual property complaints
Legal requirements
Harmful download destinations
Developer misrepresentation
Repeated abuse of APP2U services
Where appropriate, developers may contact APP2U to request clarification or provide additional information.
- Developer-Requested Removal
An authorized developer or publisher may request removal or correction of an application listing.
APP2U may request verification before processing the request to help prevent unauthorized removal or modification of legitimate listings.
Removal from APP2U does not control copies of information that may independently exist on search engines, archives or third-party websites.
- Developer Responsibility
Developers remain solely responsible for their applications, including their functionality, content, security, legal compliance, customer relationships and privacy practices.
APP2U provides an independent platform and does not assume responsibility for operating third-party applications.
- Changes to Developer Terms
APP2U may update these Developer Terms as our developer services, platform standards or legal requirements evolve.
The “Last Updated” date will indicate the latest revision.
Where required, additional notice may be provided for material changes.
