How it works:
AntiSpy Mobile detects and removes spyware apps on your cell phone. The software analyzes all applications on your cell phone and even there are no SpyWares found, it gives warnings for applications that has spy-able permissions and can potentially spy on your device.
The Anti Spy Mobile app uses uses two levels of protection – first there’s a list of commercial spyware software – the results from that scan is listed in Spywares section. That method is used from classical AV programs. Even w/o root access, the Android system provides information about all installed packages and the permissions that are granted to each app.
The second level is heuristic analysis which scans for permissions models that are similar to those used by spywares – those results are listed in the “Warnings” section. If any of the legit apps are in the Warnings section, you can mark them as safe – tap on the app and and mark the checkbox that reads “This app is safe”.
