YouTube ↗Features of freenet:
Free Data for Essential Apps: The central feature of freenet is its ability to grant users free mobile data, but with certain conditions. Users can access a curated selection of "partner" apps and websites without consuming their regular data allocation. These partners include widely used services such as Shopee, PayMaya, UnionBank, and others. This targeted access can be valuable for individuals who rely on these services but have limited data budgets.
Earn Data By Completing Activities: Accessing data rewards in freenet is structured as a points-based system. Users earn "MB points" by completing various missions—these range from answering surveys and watching short advertisements to trying out new partner services. Built-in rewards can also be obtained by inviting new users to the app. Accumulated points can then be redeemed for internet MBs, which are required to access free content through freenet. It’s important to recognize that freenet does not offer unlimited data; regular participation is required to maintain a steady supply of MBs.
Usage Controls and Personalization: freenet gives users control over their internet consumption. Through the 'My Data' tab, users can toggle free data access on or off according to their needs, preventing unnecessary depletion of earned MBs. Settings allow for basic customization, letting users organize their experience by interests and preferred categories, keeping navigation intuitive even for first-time users.
Eligibility and Limitations: While the app provides opportunities to save on internet costs, its availability is limited to subscribers of the Smart, Sun, or TNT networks in the Philippines. There is no option for users of other carriers, restricting the app’s accessibility.Another limitation is the predefined list of partner apps and sites. Users cannot freely browse any site or use any app with earned MBs—it only applies to partners. This selective access means the benefits depend on one’s reliance on these services.
Highlights of freenet:
Sign-Up Bonus: When you register an account, you receive a free internet data bonus.
