Google Phone is a phone app that allows users to make calls, display the identity of the other party, and have AI automatically answer calls for you without waiting. It filters out spam and scam calls, which can be customized by the user. It also features a visual voicemail function and supports video calls. It's designed with the user in mind anytime, anywhere, and comes pre-installed on most Google phones. The page layout and functionality have been greatly optimized. You can give it a try.
Function
Know who’s calling you
Google’s extensive caller ID coverage lets you know the business that’s calling so that you can answer with confidence.
No more waiting on hold
Hold for Me lets you go back to your day. If a business puts you on hold, Google Assistant can wait on the line for you and let you know when someone is ready to talk.
Screen unknown callers
Call Screen answers unknown callers, filters out detected spammers without interrupting you, and helps you learn more about callers you don’t recognize before you pick up.
Visual voicemail
Check your messages without needing to call your voicemail – view and play them in any order, read transcriptions, and delete or save them right from the app.
Highlights
Google Duo Video Calling: This feature allows you to manage the video calling service of this Google app. However, you must have it installed on your smartphone. Simply tap the call log, search, or a contact's card to video chat... and even during the same call, with a single tap. It has functions for managing the video calling service offered by this Google app.
Spam protection: If phone companies or salespeople constantly bother you with their calls, the service warns you about potential spammers and gives you the option to report suspicious calls.
Caller ID: The caller ID lets you see who is calling you before you answer, and the device can display company names next to the number on the screen.
Call blocking: With this option, you can configure call reception, allowing you to receive calls only from a secure contact list.
More visual voicemail: You no longer need to call voicemail to manage messages, as you can view, listen to, and delete them directly in the app, and download the audio if you wish.
Phone finder: You no longer need to use a browser or the Google app to find a phone. Now, the app itself offers this service, allowing you to find a phone and call directly without switching apps or copying and pasting text.
Emergency geolocation: If you have a problem and need to call emergency services, the app can share your location with them, making it easier for emergency responders to find you.

User comments
Think about the average user. These changes to the design or placement of functions, which don't add much, are tiring and disruptive. It's as if you have to change to stay relevant. It's a real shame because overall it was a very good application.
This app is beautifully designed and easy to use. I really like all the new features Google has rolled out in recent months. Its interface is clear, easy to read, highly functional, and consistent in style. However, they should adopt the Material 3 Expressive design style in the settings submenu and disable screen rotation during calls. The current screen rotation function is odd and confusing.
Summarize
Google Phone is Google's official app for making and receiving phone calls. While most mobile device manufacturers include a pre-installed phone app, this official Google app can be downloaded and installed for a reliable alternative.
